“I saw a real bad blog about you” is a Twitter password stealing trick

You may have received a direct message from someone you know that warns you they just saw a “I saw a real bad blog about you“.

the “I saw a real bad blog about you link” takes you to a website that looks very much like twitter and you are prompted to enter your user id and password.

Twitter has been alerting users and advising them not to fall for this I saw a real bad blog about you phishing  ploy.

To help protect yourself, If you suddenly find yourself logged out and you are prompted to to enter your user id and and password, double check the address. eg: Look for twitter.com/   in the beginning of the address.
