*Your “home page” can be found under the dashboard, -Posts ..That’s where you delete or edit the “hello world” post
*Want to ad a new page? Look under dashboard -Pages
*We want search engine friendly urls …In the WordPress Dashboard …. -Settings -permalinks -custom: /%category%/%postname%
* unblock the search engines on your dashboard when you are ready.
*Remember to pick a catagory/keyword for each page and post. The FV All in One SEO Pack 1.611 is a free plugin that will add meta descriptions for each page. This will help the search engines figure out what the page is all about.

Tips to help with the GDI WordPress Blog.
I would have just one post on your home page eg: your story
Then I would make a WHOLE NEW PAGE for each program.
1. Go to your WordPress dashboard
2. click on pages
3. ad new
4. name it eg: Lightyear Wireless
5. go back to your post about lightyear on the home page ..copy it then paste it in the new page you made. When it’s right .. you can delete it from the home page and you will have a whole page about Lightyear!! (search engines like that …people to))
*For metatags I use a plugin FV All in One SEO Pack 1.61.1 You will be able to enter meta details under the body of your post.
* for keywords. you want around 8000 searches a month … little or no competition. stick with one keyword phrase per page. DON”T overuse it. …I don’t think you can change the order of the posts in WordPress. As I mentioned A new page for each “topic” is the way to go!!

I selected a theme I didn’t really like for my start page, but it was the closest one
available when I first started. Should I have a different look or the same one for each page?
Can you help me find one and install it?
There’s 1300+ wordpress themes here: wordpress.org/extend/themes/ Also try a Google search for “free wordpress themes” -with the quotes.
.. When you find the one you like, download the zip file. ((i like to put it in a root directory like c:\ …easier to find that way))
to install:
In the wordpress dashbaoard, look for -appearance -themes then up top -Install Themes. Then -upload (the zip file)

Very helpful information for me. I was wondering what the pages was. Can I promote that single page else where? Just made a page and also added the FV All in One SEO Pack plugin. Did not know about this plugin. Thanks a bunch for sharing.
