Blog Comment Spam
Blog comment spam. What is it? Why do people try to fill my blog with blog comment spam? Ever heard the expression “a little information is dangerous”? I think that is the case with blog comment spammers. They get their links banned and waste everybody’s time!
Blog comment spammers try to drive traffic back to their website or affiliate link by commenting on thousands of blogs across the internet using scripts and automatic blog commenting software.
Most blog comment spammers are also under the misguided assumption that ANY link back to their website IS A GOOD THING (no matter where it is from) and they will make their website RISE UP in the search engines. WRONG!
You can easily track your traffic with a WordPress blog. Here is an example of a Blog Comment Spammer. (you can see their ip address)
