Bad Blog Alert!
Those that make a living online think that having a blog is as important as having your own phone. Even though a bad blog may be available nearly 24 hours a day, some of the 365 days a year, professionals will not settle on a bad blog that is not up to generating brand new customers and revenue non stop. They don’t want to worry whether or not their blog will work when they go to sleep.
Bad Blog Experience

The last thing a professional marketer wants is a bad blog when they are trying to create an online presence. A bad blog will mess up their opportunity to brand themselves as a leader and take away their ability to connect and demonstrate their expertise. A bad blog will cause them to miss out on chances to build trusting relationships with those who are trying in earnest to be loyal readers.
If you are looking to brand yourself online as a professional, lookout for these signs. You may have a blog that is bad for you!

Bad Blog characteristics
1. Bad blogs for Non professionals have extra long web addresses and don’t make any sense when you read them. They are often seen with an extra . WordPress.com or .blogspot in the url.
2. A bad blog for someone who would like to make a living online will not have ftp access. You will not have access to all the files on your site.
3. You know you have a bad blog if they can take it all away in an instant, no questions asked. If they disagree with anything on your site, a picture, recommendation or if competitor gets jealous and accuses you of spam, you could loose it all, then you have a bad blog. If you don’t have any say at all then you are risking a bad blog experience. You will loose all the time spent building back links, rank, traffic, and online presence. With a bad blog you are vulnerable to someone else’s whims.
4. You know you have a bad blog when you can’t find any custom made plugins for your blog. Bad blogs will not have the means to capture leads or add a contact me form ( Wasn’t that why you wanted a blog in the first place? )
5. Your visitors will know you have a bad blog. With a bad blog, all it takes is a quick look at the url and they will know that you are unprofessional. Why would a successful professional be risking his time and effort with free accounts? Wouldn’t they be willing to spend a few dollars to secure their online presence and credibility?
6. You know you have a bad blog if there are very few custom themes available.
7. You know you have a bad blog when you don’t own anything on it! You can’t sell it. You can’t sell ad space. You are simply writing content to help them with their traffic and rank and doing it for free!
8. You know you have a bad blog if you have limited functionality in your site. Bad blogs never have a vast array of useful widgets.
9. You know you have a bad blog when it is surrounded by other bad blogs. Hosting companies own “ip blocks”. Free blogs are favored by novices and seldom given the care and content of paid blogs. The owners of bad blogs seldom get noticed by the search engines and must work much harder to get traffic. Think about it. How often do you see Blogspot blogs when you search the internet?
10. You know you have a bad blog if you can’t monetize it. Bad blogs have rules strictly against anything that might act as an advertisement!
Bad Blog Experience

Of course even a bad blog can offer more than the replicated affiliate web pages we are given, But are you willing to risk your time, reputation and business on a bad blog? Sure we can get all the bad blogs we could ever want for FREE. But don’t let the price of bad blogs fool you. Their is a price for settling for bad blogs.
Even if you have very little experience online and blogging, the last thing you want is a bad blog. Your blog should only promote you or what you want it to. How could you possibly accomplish this if you are not allowed to personalize your blog?
I believe blogging with WordPress’s free software and owning your own domain name is the right way to go.
Why will the owners of bad blogs be jealous of you?
You will brand yourself as the professional and setup only takes minutes
- You are free to add advertisements, recommendations, contact forms, and images of your choice.
- Your site will increase in value. You own it. You can sell it.
- You have access to all your files. Back up is easy and you can do a restore at anytime.
-The WordPress software platform Offers an unlimited number of plugins, templates and widgets
-Your web address will be shorter and more personalized. For example you could own www.BLOGMAN.com for your website - Short addresses are much easier to remember. They also come with a respectable email. eg Ben@blogman.com. I for one remember all the scammers that used free email accounts to scam on ebay and all over the net. Bad blogs don’t come with an email address that builds confidence.
